A small country hotel in the heart of an authentic French village, Le Relais du Lyon d'Or welcomes you for all your desires...be it lounging with a good book and a glass of wine, heading out for adventures in pittoresque Angles, a gem in itself, or discovering the numerous attractions both natural and man-made for all tastes and pleasures: The Roc aux Sorciers-prehistoric sculptures, Abbaye de Saint Savin (UNESCO), Futuroscope and the Parc de la Brenne (nature, birds, observatories) to name just a few.
As for the hotel, not overdone, the décoration is simple yet homy, each room is personalised and unique with modern comforts. No dancing around with a shower head that cannot be fixed onto the wall, A place to welcome friends and family, to gather around a drink in the Petit Salon, under the vegetation shaded pergola or in the courtyard. The restaurant proposes a traditional homemade French cuisine prepared from fresh, and local when possible, products. And the wine, a nice selection of local-and not so local wines.
